Providence Village has an annual yard sale. I will be outside my home with some of my photography work and will be taking appointments for photo shoots.
I will have fall props and a whole set up you can customize for your shoot. Packages start at $60 for 5 edited photos and increase by $20 and 5 edited photos.
My name is Sheena and I have been a professional photographer since 2005. I started as a photojournalist working for my college newspaper The Bulletin at Emporia State University. I've worked in studios and for a hockey team before opening my own business. I'm a freelance photographer which means I don't limit myself to just one type of photography. I can do portraits (maternity, engagement, family, kids, newborn), wedding, party, sports or action photography, lifestyle (a hobby of yours) or wall art (landscapes, art, graphic design). I also do graphic design and design customized invitations.
When I'm not doing photography, I'm spending time with my husband Travis and our daughter Easton. I like to read, swim, travel, write, sew and run 5k races. I'm training for 5k races and eventually want to run a 10k and half marathon.
Check out my new pricing table. I've recently made it easier to get a quote instead of having to answer questions first. If you have any questions or concerns about the new pricing please let me know.
I have been a professional (paid) photographer since 2005. I have a bachelor's degree in integrated studies with a concentration in photography from Emporia State University in Emporia, KS. I also have a bachelor's degree in mass media with an emphasis in public relations from Washburn University in Topeka, KS. I was a photographer among other positions at Emporia State's newspaper The Bulletin. I worked as a student photographer at University Photography while at Emporia State. I worked as a photographer at Sears Portraits. I was a photographer for the Topeka RoadRunners hockey team. In 2013 I opened my own studio and have been a freelance photographer ever since.
The best way to reach me is through my business facebook page. I check it the most often but I also use e-mail. I have a new way to make appointments that sends me e-mails. If you need to reach me quickly you can call my cell phone but text is better than calling because I prefer to have a written history of any conversations. http://www.facebook.com/virgoimmenphotography email@example.com https://virgo-immen-photography.reservio.com/ 785-236-0901
Your photos will be burned on a cd along with a photo release form so you can print when you want what you want without the hassle of waiting for me and shipping charges. By getting the images put on a cd you aren't limited to what you print because of my costs and you aren't on a timeline to print at one specific time. Once you and I have decided whether to meet in person again to pick up the cd or to have it mailed directly to you, a cd usually takes about a week to make depending on what kind of shoot you did (the more hours a shoot=the more photos to go through) and how many photos need to be edited.
I don't really think I have a specific style. I like to try new things. I have a lot of experience and patience working with children. My favorite type of photography is more of a photojournalism style where subjects are more natural and have fun instead of being stiff and posed.
Yes, but please keep the Virgo Immen watermark on the photo or put Virgo Immen Photography in the caption. I'm a small business with no budget for advertising yet so I get business from word of mouth. I've spent a lot years and money learning my craft and deserve to have credit for my work.
Extra prices: cd: $5 collage: $20 edited photos: $6 per edited photo with minimal edit travel over 30 miles: $40 page design: $50
Absolutely! Unlike other photographers, I don't delete your photos. I don't want to tell you when or how much you should spend for photos on a tight schedule so if you can't afford a lot of photos right now but can later then you can always order more edited photos later. If you misplace or break your cd don't worry. For $5 I'll make you a new cd and send it to you.
Depending on the type of photography, how many photos I have to go through and how many I have to edit will determine how fast. For a portrait session you will usually have an online album by that night and photos burned to a cd within 2 to 3 days. Wedding photography is going to take a little while longer so again depending on how many photos and how many will be edited it could take a week or longer. I used to have to work on a quick deadline when I was a photojournalist and also when I was a photographer for a hockey team so if you need faster than 2 to 3 days please let me know before the shoot. I try to work on photos in order of when they were shot.
In honor of my mom. My mom was always my biggest supporter in anything I ever tried. She passed away in 2006 at the beginning of my sophomore year in college when I had just changed my major to photography. In a public relations class I took we had to create a business card for a pretend business we were creating and I decided to do a photography business. I needed a name and knew I didn't want to go with my own name or a cute photography themed name-I wanted it to stand for something. My mom's horoscope was Virgo and she used to read her horoscope every night before bed. So I started playing around with logo designs based around the Virgo symbol and then just from that played around with my mom's maiden name Immenschuh. It is a unique name but not always easy for people to spell so I cut it down to Immen and liked how it sounded. I put the two together and a name was created for the assignment. Two years later when I was making a Facebook page to start my new photography business for real I went back to the assignment and said why not I mean it honors my mom, it sounds different and it wasn't like I had too many other ideas for a business name anyways.
